My work as a volunteer with the Evangelical Theological Educational Association (AETE) is to support them in their various administrative and pastoral activities. A few days ago AETE was celebrating its 25th anniversary and here I share with you a little of the activities we have carried out.
Commemorative Worship for the 25 Years of AETE
One of the most notable milestones was the emotional service for AETE's 25th anniversary. They brought together members old and new in an event filled with gratitude and reflection. They celebrated the path they had traveled, remembered inspiring stories and renewed their commitment to AETE's mission. It was a unique moment, full of emotions and solidarity.
Morning Meeting: Students, Professors and Former Students Together
The morning was filled with laughter and camaraderie during the special breakfast. Students, professors and former students met in a relaxed atmosphere to share experiences, anecdotes and future goals. It was an opportunity to strengthen the connection between generations, build networks and foster a lasting sense of belonging in the educational community.
Educational meetings between the Peru YAV site and Tucson
As part of my activities as a volunteer for the YAV program in Peru, I participate in meetings organized by our coordinator in collaboration with the YAV site coordinators from Tucson and Colombia. In these months we have addressed the topics of of migration, the inequalities that exist in the world and how that is reflected in the country. Likewise, we always read biblical passages which allowed us to reflect on a topic.
These Meetings not only provided us with valuable knowledge on various topics, but also became moments of cultural exchange and building ties. Learning together strengthened our international collaboration and solidarity.
